HCA is thrilled to host Enter Stage Left Theater's third annual A Play, A Pint & A Pie festival on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in our outdoor amphitheater. With seven outstanding plays selected from 112 submissions across the globe, this festival promises to be a night of non-stop fun, laughter, and maybe a few tear. 

And that's not all — we're honoring the Scottish tradition of a lunch-time pint, pie and a play with our own twist. Your ticket includes admission to the plays, a delicious meat pie or vegetarian alternative, and an alcoholic or soft drink of your choice. It's the perfect way to spend a summer evening with friends and family.

Mr. M's Slaughterous Thoughts (comedy) by Ryan Armstrong. Directed by Gene Houk.
An over-enthusiastic Shakespearean actor is determined to make an impression, despite the Director's best efforts. Featuring: Michael Franchock, Beth Ristaino, Steve Sullivan
 
The Next Ivan Sharansky (comedy) by Jim Geoghan. Directed by Paul Champlin,
Two seasoned actors bemoan the passing of the greatest corpse actor. Featuring 
Robert Gilbert, Susan Gilbert.
 
Florida (drama) by Steve Doloff. Directed by Mary Scarlata-Rowe
A homeless couple reminisce about their time in Florida and the prospects of a return, as one of them grapples with the onset of dementia. Featuring: Steve Lillis, Beth Morrell.
 
Midge (conceptual/comedy/drama) by Adrienne LaValley. Directed by Paul Champlin.
Despite multiple, determined attempts, a woman is prevented from passing through a door by a military guard, and for good reason. Featuring: Steven Bigelow, Bunny Porter.
 
A Much Better Deal (drama) by Stephen Feldman. Directed by Dawn Anderson.
An attempted armed robbery is prevented when the targeted victims employ empathy and problem-solving to negotiate a solution to the would-be thief's dilemma. Featuring: Jack Houk, Rowan Houk, Jim Porter, Liana Vincini.
