Artists and exhibition organizers are invited to present for consideration show exhibition proposals, which are reviewed by the HCA jurying committee on a quarterly basis. Serious inquiries only. Upon submission of the proposal registration fee, you will receive an email with instructions where to send your proposal.
Exhibition proposals must include:
a clear exhibition idea
artist names and contact information (include artist information if you are proposing a collaborative show with other artists)
12–15 representative images of work proposed for exhibition
full description of each piece
artist’s name
title
year
materials
size (height by width by depth
and, if for sale, retail price
each image must be titled with the artist’s last name and the title of the work (example: Waldman-Summer Day.jpg)
All work chosen for exhibition must be fully prepared for hanging or installation. Our guidelines can be reviewed here: Framing Guidelines. Exhibition design and installation is the responsibility of the HCA Gallery Director. Depending on size and format, The Lotvin Family Gallery exhibits no more than 25–30 midsize pieces.
For all exhibitions, HCA provides a press release to regional media, an “In the Gallery” feature on our website, promotion in our newsletter, an email invitation, and an opening reception. You are invited to visit the gallery and to join us at our opening receptions.

The HCA offers quality private lesson education for all ages and skill levels. In this package, instructors provide individually tailored instruction for 4-weeks for either 30, 45, 60 minute lessons.

Music: Youth Improvisation (3rd-6th)
This program is an introduction to improvisation and seeks to provide a strong foundation for improvising as a soloist and in a group. The course material will cover and encourage growth of musical spontaneity/confidence, melody creation, chord structures, jam structures, playing in a group, and soloing. This course will cover a variety of genres including blues, minimalism, classical, jazz, and more. Students can expect the opportunity to play both as a soloist and in a group, and are welcome to explore their primary instrument or a secondary one as the course progresses.

The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.
Directed by Mary Scarlata-Rowe.
Rehearsals for the main ensemble (4th-8th grade) will be Sunday afternoons and some Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Nov 3rd.
Auditions will take place on Saturday, October 25 by appointment. Audition details will be sent once the registration is completed.
Rehearsals for Jr Ensemble (2nd-3rd grade) will be on Sundays only until the week prior to performances.
The mandatory tech week is January 24–26. Performances will take place on January 26–28, 2024 at the Hopkinton Middle School.
The production fee includes a show souvenir T-shirt and access to an online recording of the public performance.

Savage Pianos was founded in 2018 by Matthew Tobin and Stephen Savage. Matt and Steve have worked together in dueling pianos since meeting as undergraduate music school students at a dueling piano bar in Boston. After years of gigging with hundreds of performers and various companies worldwide, Matt and Steve launched Savage Pianos to bring the finest dueling piano entertainment to the Northeast region.
The company has grown exponentially in seven years to include an evolving roster of the country's top dueling piano talent and a substantial client base with ongoing public and private performances.

This isn’t just a race—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and a little bit of Halloween mischief. Ready to run wicked fast (or wicked fun)? Let’s go!
Explore the world of color and texture with award winning weaver, Dahlia Popovits. In this full day workshop, you will learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom, and leave with a finished wall hanging of your own design. All skill levels are welcome as you will be guided through every step of the process. We'll use yarn of various weights and textures to match your unique style, and learn a variety of popular weaving methods including plain weave, soumak, rya knots and tapestry techniques. As you begin to master the art of weaving throughout the day, you will also learn how the nature of this art form can be very soothing, a true de-stressor that will help you unwind as you work on a creative project. Class price includes a $18 materials fee.
Instructor: Dahlia Popovits has been designing and weaving award winning clothing and accessories utilizing the finest natural materials, sourced from all over the world, for nearly 50 years. Her work can be seen at Dahlia Gallery in Boston, which features her handwoven clothing, as well as the work of various prominent textile artisans. She also exhibits at various national juried craft shows, including The Smithsonian Craft show, and teaches weaving at a variety of art centers in the Boston area. These include The Fuller Craft Museum, Worcester Craft Center, The Eliot School, Chatham Center for the Arts and Truro Center for the arts at Castle Hill.
Materials: Your class fee includes use of a portable rigid heddle loom pre-warped and ready for weaving as well as an extensive variety of natural fibers to choose.

The circus was passing through Deadwoodville and decided to stay for a fortnight! Come play with us if you dare!
Location: YMCA Outdoor Center at 45 East Street, Hopkinton, MA.
Dates/Times: Friday and Saturday, 10/17 and 10/18, 10/24, 10/25, and at 6, 7, 8, and 9 p.m. with rain dates Sunday, 10/19 and 10/26 at 5, 6, 7, and 8 p.m.
Child-Friendly Haunt Sunday 10/19 and 10/26 at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Timed entry for each group is at the top of the hour. Please plan to arrive at the site 10 to 15 minutes before your show time. Once the circus experience begins, it will last approximately 50 minutes. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for being outdoors in the woods.
Ages: The Friday and Saturday night shows are recommended for audiences 10 years and above, at the discretion of the parent/guardian. The Sunday afternoon show is suitable for all ages.
