Watercolor Painting from Photographs
Indulge your creativity with this one-day watercolor workshop! Bring photographs to replicate that inspire you, or use ones provided by the instructor. Beginner or experienced artists will receive individualized coaching throughout the day, with topics including composition, values, various wash options, contrast, textures and the choice of supplies.
We'll begin with a discussion of materials and techniques, followed by a simple watercolor painting demonstration. Students may paint along, referring to the same image, or may work from their own photo. While various painting approaches are reviewed, the instructor tends to specialize in tightly rendered, realistic work.
All levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome.
