SP23 Ceramics: Sectional Throwing 3-day Workshop

Sectional throwing is a technique allowing the potter to create larger, more complex vessels. This 3-day workshop instructed by Martha Gold is for intermediate/advanced students who are comfortable wedging and throwing 2-4 pounds of clay or more. This technique of throwing multiple sections is great for creating larger pieces. The seams can be incorporated into the designed shape or disappear as if it did not exist.

The only limitation is the height of the kilns! Students must come to all scheduled classes. Clay will be provided. All projects must be completed within the 3-day workshop.

Ages: 18 and up
Instructor: Martha Gold

Dates: Tuesday, April 18–Thursday, April 20
Time: 6:30–9:30 PM
