Work behind-the-scenes this week on the incredibly important art of prop and set design and creation. Get hands-on experience preparing effective and useful props and backgrounds suited to the 2-week Summer Stock production, Frozen Jr. From realistic looking snowflakes and ice to coronation banners, faux paintings, and a toy Olaf, we'll explore a variety of materials and methods including sculpting, molding and painting.

Come see your hard work on display in the two public performances on Saturday, July 26 12 Noon and 2:30 p.m.

For a full day of fun in the arts, join our morning visual art program, Art Studio: Experiments with Printmaking (grades 4–6), that also takes place at 98 Hayden Rowe. Students will have time for a supervised lunch between programs.

Program Time: 12:15–3 p.m.
Drop-off: 12:15 p.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.

Materials: All art materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 1-2 snack(s) (please do not pack any food that contains nuts) 
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it

If you register your child for a full-day, please also bring:

• A nut-free lunch
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
