Prop & Set Design Workshop: Alice in Wonderland

Monday June 30

Other dates...

12:15 PM  –  3:00 PM

Work behind-the-scenes this week on the incredibly important art of prop and set design and creation. Get hands-on experience preparing effective and useful props and backgrounds suited to the 2-week Summer Stock production, Alice in Wonderland. From realistic looking food to be enjoyed at the tea party to the mushrooms the caterpillar sits on, we'll explore a variety of materials and methods including sculpting, molding and painting.

To coordinate with the Alice in Wonderland production, this program is designed as a two-week program, but you may opt to participate in just one week. Dates:
Week 1: June 30–July 3 (Mon–Thurs)
Week 2: July 7–11

Register for just one week or both and receive a discount.

For those who register for week 2, stay for a full day of fun in the arts by registering for one of our morning programs, Art Studio: Fun with Food (grades 3–6), at 98 Hayden Rowe Street, or Wheel Throwing Foundations (grades 7–12), at 34 Hayden Rowe. A free walking service led by our volunteers is available for those 5th grade or younger who sign up for full-day options at our two locations, a little over ½ mile apart. Students will have time for a supervised lunch between programs.
