Plein Air Painting Workshops (Sunday, June 23)

Capture the colors of summer en plein air (outdoors) in this series of workshops set in the HCA gardens. Work in your favorite paint medium (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel), and gain more comfortability and confidence working outdoors. HCA's Sunday morning outdoor concert series will serve as your backdrop and entertainment. Instruction will cover means of accurately and expressively depicting outdoor sites, including composition and how to make artistic choices while the light changes.

For those with some experience painting, whether you have taken an HCA course or have some basic experience working on your own. Whether you join us for one workshop or multiple, get ready to ignite your creativity!

DROP-INS WELCOME: Online registration closes at 3 p.m. the Friday before, but if there is sufficient space, drop-ins are welcome to attend. The drop-in fee is $80 per class (cash, check, or card). You may call to inquire about space the evening before or morning of: 508-435-9222. Phone lines are open 9am-5pm.

Inclement Weather: The program runs rain or shine. If the weather is less favorable the workshop will move indoors.

Materials: Students must bring their own materials. Don't forget to bring your easel, or let us know in advance if you need one, as we have a limited number available. Material List.
