Would you like to paint your beloved pet? Pet portraits are among the most popular subjects for artists and students at HCA! In this class, bring a photo of your furry (or scaly or feathered) friend and let animal lover and art instructor Megann Filios guide you through the process of painting your pet using acrylic paint. In just five sessions, you’ll create a finished piece you can be proud of.

Megann has extensive experience painting animals and also volunteers at BayPath Humane Society animal shelter.

Instructor: Megann Filios
Megann is a self-taught artist with years of study under many accomplished artists. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, she has recently expanded her practice to include multimedia and three-dimensional forms. Her creative foundation is rooted in storytelling—she holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Wheaton College. Time: 12:15 to 2:15 p.m.
Materials: Students will supply their own acrylic painting materials. If you need to complete your supplies, the instructor will send out a list before the first class.
