ArtsFocus: Movie Making Madness
In this introduction to moviemaking, get ready for a fun-filled 5-day program of making trailers and short films. This program will focus on what goes into creating and filming a story from concept to execution. Typically, students will complete 4-6 short film pieces in a week-long program. A link to the final edited projects will be provided.
ArtsFocus programs enable students to focus on their selected art forms. Instructors promote exploration of materials and discovery of the creative voice. All students must bring their own lunch and snacks. No peanut products. No food is provided.
Movie Making Madness (rising 4th graders - 8th grade)
Drop-off: 8:45–9 a.m.Lunchbreak: 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.Pick-up: 3 p.m. (Pickups after 3pm will incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.)
What to bring:
2 Snacks–no nut products
Lunch–no nut products
Reusable water bottle with your child’s name on it
Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable
Sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray

For beginner and intermediate-level movie makers and actors, this workshop will focus on what goes into making a movie while getting hands-on experience being both in front of and behind the cameras.
