Work side by side in this fun art workshop where you will be introduced to traditional Indian arts as you paint and decorate mandalas together. Meaning "circle" in Sanskrit, mandalas are believed to symbolize the universe and wholeness, and working on the designs can have a calming, meditative effect. 

Each participant will choose from a canvas featuring a circular round geometric pattern outline, and begin by painting them in with acrylics, learning how to blend colors and add depth through shading. The second half of the workshop you'll embellish your artwork with floral-inspired patterns and decorative elements like cut pearls, sticker stones, and small cut mirrors, making each creation truly one-of-a-kind.

Instructor: Kanchan Tare
Kanchan has a Master's of Computer Management and a Bachelor's in Electronics from Pune University, India. Kanchan has taught fine arts and crafts in India and the US, focusing on color theory, painting, drawing, origami, and more. In addition, Kanchan leads workshops in clay idol making, Kangra Rajasthani Painting, Warli Painting, and Lippan craft. (https://www.instagram.com/artfluentart/)
