4:15 PM  –  5:15 PM

This full-year program is open to mid-year enrollment through Monday, February 3. Please contact our Director of Dance, Jessica Wilson (jessica@hopartscenter.org), for more information on a potential schedule and pricing if your child is interested in joining.

If you are a new student seeking to join the ensemble program, you must make arrangements to audition for the HCA Dance Director.

Classes may include classical ballet, jazz, creative dance, and character. At this level, enrollment in a minimum of three classes each week is highly recommended to explore classical ballet variations, floor work, as well as pointe.

In ballet, study of pirouettes, adagio, and allegro increases at this level. Lessons in creative dance improvisation and floor work are incorporated in regular practice. Students are also exposed to regular enrichment throughout the year including dance history, music appreciation, acting, and guest teachers in various dance genres.

Pre pointe and pointe students must be enrolled in three classes each week in order to develop and maintain the required strength and technique. Pointe students must be deemed physically ready by the HCA instructors.
