How to Write the Story of your Artwork

Friday May 16

Every piece of art has a story to tell. Whether you’re showcasing your paintings, creating prints or cards, or building an artist's portfolio website, the story behind your artwork is a powerful way to connect with your audience. A well-crafted artwork description not only highlights the uniqueness of your work but also deepens engagement with viewers and potential buyers.

Join us for a fun and interactive two-hour workshop led by experienced artists Marion Buricatu and Beth Gismondi. Together, we’ll dive into what makes your art meaningful to you and discover how to express that meaning in a compelling and concise way. You’ll learn how to craft descriptions that captivate your audience and communicate the essence of your work. We'll also cover the key elements to include when submitting your art for galleries or exhibitions.

Enjoy light snacks during the session, and take advantage of the cash bar to keep the creative energy flowing.

Students currently taking a series class (not a one-day workshop) can register at a discount and bring 1 guest at the discounted price.
