Group Voice 1 (Grades 2nd-4th)

Music: Group Voice 1

This intro class includes an introduction to singing, music literacy/theory, unison group singing, and an intro to solo singing! Group voice classes are an effective and cost-effective alternative to private lessons, while still getting focused attention from the instructor. 

This class sets the foundations for continuation to Group Voice 2 (offered in Winter) which expands upon this knowledge to include how the voice works, and furthers our understanding of pitch, melody, dynamics, and starts to incorporate more text interpretation and performance elements. In Group Voice 3 (offered in Spring) we work towards a performance for our family & friends incorporating all we have learned along the way!

Instruments/Materials: All sheet music will be provided. Students should bring a water bottle, a folder to hold the sheet music, and a straw (preferably reuseable) to each class.
