Drawing Foundations Workshop

Gain foundational drawing skills in this one day summer workshop. We'll start by discussing the basics of charcoal and its significance within classical to contemporary drawing methods and painting prepation. Learn all of charcoal's possibilities including the loose organic nature of the medium to the precision and extreme detail that you can also accomplish. Moving past charcoal exercises we will talk about graphite, the range of pencils available, and learn the steps on how to draw transfers from images to canvas.

Skill Level: Any level welcome, but this program is particularly good for beginners and professionals.
