Story to Stage: Snow White Dance Adventure (K-2)

Monday July 21

Other dates...

12:30 PM  –  3:30 AM

For kids who love dance, music, acting and crafts! Classic stories and folktales have been told time and again through books, movies, theater and dance productions. Story to Stage celebrates these beloved stories as we select one each week to adapt into an inspiring theme. The daily schedule consists of musical theater inspired jazz dance, ballet, hip hop, music, mini lessons to promote appreciation, crafts, and games that explore acting, movement, choreography and improvisation. We’ll also learn about all the fabulous “behind the scenes” jobs that bring productions to life.

The week culminates with an informal performance for family. Students will retell the story through dance and gesture set to music, and the student’s crafts will be exhibited for the audience to enjoy. No prior formal training required.

For a full day of fun in the arts, join our morning program, Art Explorers: Science Adventures (grades 1 and 2). A free walking service led by our volunteers is available for those 5th grade and younger who sign up for full-day options at our two locations, a little over ½ mile apart. Students will have time for a supervised lunch between programs.
