Grab a friend—or a special someone—and treat yourself to a night of fun and creativity at the HCA! In a relaxed setting, you'll get step-by-step instructions on creating a pastel painting that captures the beauty of winter while sipping your favorite drink (alcholic or not). 

Pastels offer immediate, satisfying results with easy clean up compared to wet media. No experience? No problem! Beginners can follow along with the teacher and those that have more experience can add their own spin on their cozy winter art. This is all about relaxation, laughter, and letting your creativity flow in a friendly, social atmosphere. 

All levels welcome, no need to be able to draw a straight line – we have rulers!

Instructor: Meredith Fitzgerald
As a working artist, Meredith currently focuses on varying interpretations of landscapes of place, body, and memory. Through oil paint, pastel, installations, and videos, she explores landscapes affected by the passage of time. Meredith has experience with printmaking, knitting, sewing, embroidery, wreath making, calligraphy, origami, woodworking, welding, and robotics. Meredith has an MFA from the Pratt Institute and has been a resident at the Vermont Studio Center. (meredithfitzgerald.com)
