Use your imagination and get your hands dirty with clay! We'll make both useful and fun objects as we learn hand-building techniques including slab, coil and pinching. Everyone will get the chance to make and decorate items of your own design that will be glazed and fired.

Finished works will be ready for pick up 4–6 weeks after the workshop.

For a full day of fun in the arts, join our morning visual arts program, Art Studio: Fiber Arts Fun (grades 3–5). A free walking service led by our volunteers is available for those 5th grade and younger who sign up for full-day options at our two locations, a little over ½ mile apart. Students will have time for a supervised lunch between programs. 

Note: In this workshop no wheel throwing will be taught.

Program Time: 12:30–3 p.m.
Drop-off: 12:30 p.m.
Pick-up: 3 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.

Materials: All art materials will be provided, but each participant should: 

• Bring a reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

If you register your child for a full-day, please also bring:

• A nut-free lunch
• 1-2 snack(s) (please do not pack any food that contains nuts) 
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
