Calling all movers interested in creating a choreographic production as well as movers interested in enhancing their artistry and ability to collaborate as a performer! The week will combine a variety of approaches to dance making and provide a range of opportunities to practice skills by crafting dance in solo and group forms, both in studio and site specific. We'll also have lessons in lighting and costume design that will enhance your understanding of the contributions these forms bring to productions. Designing choreography will also serve to develop project management and collaborative skills. Whether you are preparing pieces of choreography for college, extracurricular programming submissions, working to build your portfolio, or simply looking to explore a creative zeal, this weeklong workshop is for you. 

This program is suited for dancers with prior dance or theater training, but beginners willing to take the plunge are welcome! Please contact jessica@hopartscenter.org with any questions about the program.

Location: Dance Studio, 34 Hayden Rowe St, Suite 302
Program Time: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
Drop-off: 9 a.m.
Pick-up: 2 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.

Dress Code and Supplies: Comfortable clothes you can move in. Notebook.

Materials: All art materials will be provided, but each participant should: 

• 1-2 snack(s) (please do not pack any food that contains nuts) 
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• A nut-free lunch
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)

• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.
