Beginner Wheel Throwing
Get a solid foundation in working with the wheel. Learn the basics including prepping the clay, centering, forming vessels, finishing and glazing. We will focus on making small projects including bowls which will be fired and ready to be picked up three weeks after the completion of the class.
Instructor: Mary Lou McKeen
Materials: Students are provided with a 25 lb bag of clay with their tuition. Any additional clay must be purchased at the HCA studio from our teachers.
The price of registration includes all firing, access to glazes and underglazes. Tools are available in the studio, however, students can bring their own tools.
Open Studio: Adult students will have access to Open Studio hours to work on their pieces outside of class time. Additional information will be provided during your first class.
