Ballet and Jazz 4 (Monday - Studio 34)

We begin with a one-hour ballet lesson. Students will work on skills in a structured class format to include barre work, center, and elements across the floor. Emphasis is placed on form, musicality, coordination, expression, and working together as a corps. A portion of class remains dedicated to creative dance improvisation where individual expression is encouraged in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Students will then participate in a jazz dance lesson. Isolations, laterals, cross floor progressions, and beginner/intermediate combinations further develop strength, flexibility and coordination. It is a wonderful and fun way to reinforce a strong dance foundation.

Enrolling in two classes a week is recommended, and the option to enroll in more than two classes each week is available.  Students are welcome to join mid-session while space allows.

Location: This class takes place at the HCA Annex, 34 Hayden Rowe, Hopkinton.
