Join artist and teacher, Meredith Fitzgerald, for a dynamic evening and get a better understanding about pastel painting materials and techniques. While you watch a landscape demonstration from start to finish, Meredith will also share her experiences as a plein air art painter in oil and pastel. Discover the novel materials used in modern pastel painting today as well as how the artist makes decisions about composition and color during this enjoyable evening.

The demo will be about an hour and half with a half hour for questions and socializing. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

About Meredith Fitzgerald: A working artist, Meredith has created landscapes of place, body and memory in oil, pastel, photography and video. As well as plein air painting for many years from Monhegan Island, Maine to the Dordogne valley in France, she has her Masters degree from the Pratt Institute and was a Vermont Studios Resident.
