Come experiment and explore the world of modern art by learning about important and influential artists and practicing different techniques and subjects to create our own masterpieces.

Discover artists from the pop art movement, cubism, expressionism, and impressionism, all of whom helped pave the way for the artists working today! By the end of the week, everyone will have a portfolio of work in different media.

For a full day of fun in the arts, join our afternoon ceramics program, Clay Creations: Handbuilding (grades 3–6), at 34 Hayden Rowe. A free walking service led by our volunteers is available for those 5th grade or younger who sign up for full-day options at our two locations, a little over ½ mile apart. Students will have time for a supervised lunch between programs.

Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9–11:30 a.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 11:30–11:45 a.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.

Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 1-2 snack(s) (please do not pack any food that contains nuts) 
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it

If you register your child for a full-day, please also bring:

• A nut-free lunch
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishabay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
