Illustration is an art form rich with opportunities for creativity. Storytelling sparks the imagination! In this fun-filled camp week, we will explore the powerful relationship between words and images.

Join us as we interpret stories visually through a variety of media, including paint, pencil, collage, and 3D. Everyone will work on basic drawing skills and character development as we bring our stories to life! We will also use the elements of art, including line, color, shape, value, and form to strengthen our work. Campers can come with their own story ideas or use traditional stories provided by the instructor.

At the end of the week, just before pick-up, we'll put on an art show displaying all of our hard work over the week for family and friends.

Week 2: July 7–11 
Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishabay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
