Art Explorers (For students who have COMPLETED Kindergarten as of June 2024 through rising 2nd graders)
Art Explorers are one-week full-day programs designed to make participants in the first half of elementary school feel right at home. Arts activities are based on a new creative theme each week, allowing for lots of exploration and imaginative play. Programming includes visual arts and music, drama, movement, games, and story time.
This full-day program is for any child who loves to paint, draw, sing, dance, and move their bodies! Students will create unique art pieces in the morning using model magic, paint, and other fun materials. In the afternoon, students will perform art activities involving acting out stories and singing songs! There will be story-time, imaginative play, Echo songs, Circle Games, Song Tales, classical music, and so much more.
Drop-off: 8:45–9 a.m.
Lunchbreak: 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Pick-up: 3 p.m. (Pickups after 3pm will incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.)
What to bring:
2 Snacks–no nut products
Lunch–no nut products
Reusable water bottle with your child’s name on it
Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable
Sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone and thanks to the generosity of The Sandra Delbridge Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund we are able to assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes. Assistance is awarded on the basis of demonstrated need, motivation, and potential benefit to the student. Apply for a scholarship here.
