Get ready for a dynamic and expressive class set to an upbeat playlist. We'll explore various jazz dance techniques including classic, commercial, musical theater, and jazz fusion. We'll begin with a warm up that combines conditioning and fundamental jazz technique allowing students to gain strength and mobility while they improve form. We’ll then focus on rhythm and coordination as we practice movements across the floor. Each class will dedicate time at the end of class to explore choreographed combinations allowing students to bring out their inner musical film or broadway star. Class work will be designed to match the experience of the students in the room, and movement variations will be offered to support each student as an individual.

For a little extra conditioning, come before class for the 30-minute Strength and Mobility program that starts at 6:30 p.m.

Location: This class takes place at the HCA Dance studios, 34 Hayden Rowe, Hopkinton, Suite 202 (first floor)
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing you can move in. Jazz shoes are best. Ballet slippers are also an option.
