Immerse yourself in dance for one or two weeks this summer, while you improve your technique, develop artistry, learn repertoire, and experiment with student choreography. The schedule includes classes in ballet, pointe/pre pointe, jazz, contemporary, character, hip hop, conditioning, improvisation and more. Come explore dance in a fun and welcoming environment. The program culminates with an in-studio demonstration for families, and includes a field trip to Jacob's Pillow in week 2 (schedule and additional fee TBD). 

This program is suited for dancers with at least four years of formal training or approval from HCA dance instructors. Please contact jessica@hopartscenter.org with any questions about the program.

The Summer Dance Intensive is a two week course of study, but students may opt to participate in only one of the two weeks. 
Weeks 3: July 13–17
Week 4: July 20–24

Grades: 6–12
Instructors: HCA Dance Instructors & Summer Visitors
Location: Dance Studio, 34 Hayden Rowe St, Suites 201 and 302
Program Time: 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Dress Code: Ballet attire (navy bullet point skirt or white shirt and black dance pants), jazz and contemporary attire (dance pants or shorts), character skirt, ballet shoes/pointe shoes, jazz shoes, character shoes.

Materials: Each participant should bring: 

• Yoga mat
• Notebook
• 2 snack(s) (nut free) 
• Lunch (nut free)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
