Songwriter Sessions: High School Edition

Tuesday January 14

Other dates...

6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

This small mentorship program is for anyone looking for a dedicated space to explore the art of songwriting and composition. With one-on-one feedback and assistance, we'll work on individual assignments and group projects as we explore advanced composition concepts as they relate to any genre of music.

Each session will focus on a specific area of songwriting. Session 1 will be lyric writing, Session 2 will be melody writing, and Session 3 will be harmonic writing. Sign up for all three for a more well-rounded experience, or take just one or two and end up with a great foundation of knowledge as well!

To join, we recommend that you have a basic understanding of music notation, music theory, play an instrument, and/or sing in an ensemble. For those not able to demonstrate these requirements, an interview may be scheduled to see if the class will be a good fit for this student by emailing info@hopartscenter.org.
