Portraiture in Printmaking (2 day workshop)

Wednesday April 8

Other dates...

12:30 PM  –  2:30 PM

Explore the exciting medium of relief printmaking with a focus on portraits! Students will learn to create prints both by hand and using the printing press. Develop your own portrait designs, by working from a photo or print out for your plate and transfer them to create unique, layered prints full of texture and personality. The printmaking technique we’ll focus on is Collagraph, where you’ll use experimental materials such as cardboard, string and wires to create your portrait designs on your printing plate. This hands-on, fun workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to explore portraiture in printmaking—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced printmaker.
