Would you like to paint your beloved pet? Pet portraits are among the most popular subjects for artists and students at HCA! In this class, bring a photo of your furry, feathered, or scaly friend and let animal lover and art instructor Megann Filios guide you through the process of painting your pet in acrylics or oils. With expert instruction every step of the way, you’ll complete a finished portrait in just five sessions. Megann has extensive experience painting animals and also volunteers at the BayPath Humane Society animal shelter.

Instructor: Megann Filios

Megann is a self-taught artist with years of study under many accomplished artists. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, she has recently expanded her practice to include multimedia and three-dimensional forms. Her creative foundation is rooted in storytelling—she holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Wheaton College. No Class: February 16
Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
Materials: Students will provide their own acrylic painting supplies. If you need to complete your set, the instructor will send out a list before the first class.
