Oil painting, the timeless medium of the world’s greatest masters, is a cornerstone skill for every artist. Its slow drying time gives you the freedom to explore rich textures, luminous depth, and vibrant color blends that bring your work to life with stunning realism.

In this class, experienced instructor Marion Buricatu will guide you through the essentials of painting, from value and color theory to mixing, composition, and the principles of light. Step by step, you’ll build a strong foundation and the confidence to continue your artistic journey beyond the classroom.

Perfect for both beginners and intermediates, this class includes all materials provided. Returning students receive personalized guidance to take their skills even further.

Instructor: Marion Buricatu
Marion was born into an artistic family in France and moved to the US with her family in 2001. She took classes with painting teachers before becoming one herself and earned a modern art certificate at the MOMA. Marion is an enthusiastic artist and instructor with expertise in art history and a variety of artistic mediums, including oils, acrylic, and mixed media.
