Discover the magic of monotype printing in this hands-on workshop using oil paints. Over two 2.5-hour classes, you’ll create two one-of-a-kind monotypes. Learn step by step how to transfer paint onto paper, experimenting with textures, layers, expressive brushwork, and the gestural movements beloved by the abstract expressionists. Produce prints that are spontaneous, vibrant, and entirely your own.

No prior printmaking experience is needed—just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment! 

Instructor: Marion Buricatu
Marion was born into an artistic family in France and moved to the US with her family in 2001. She took classes with painting teachers before becoming one herself and earned a modern art certificate at the MOMA. Marion is an enthusiastic artist and instructor with expertise in art history and a variety of artistic mediums, including oils, acrylic, and mixed media.
