Focus on drawing realistically through exercises and observation. Each week we will start with warmup exercises to get our hands loose and our eyes keen. Although we will learn how to render individual elements like eyes, noses, hair and hands, focus will be to train the artist's brain to “to draw what you see, not what you think it should be.”
Outside of class drawing is suggested, but not required. You are encouraged to bring in your own sketchbooks as well to discuss individual progress, obstacles, and questions.
Instructor: Meredith FitzgeraldMaterials: Charcoal, pencils, pens, ink, pastels and paper will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own sketch books and materials as well.
