Calling kids who love dance, music, acting and crafts! We will celebrate famous stories that have been performed on dance stages around the world, performing what we’ve worked on for friends and family at the end of the week.
Week 1 we'll get inspiration from the classic fairytale of a princess finding her prince, "The Princess and the Pea." All levels of dance experience are welcome to this fun week filled will jazz, ballet, and hip hop! We'll practice the steps seen in real productions, explore acting and crafting to help us retell the story, and learn about the music that brings the story to life.
As a bonus, our week will also include lessons about the famous ballet, "The Nutcracker", put on by the HCA yearly. Everyone will get the opportunity to pose in a production costume for a fun photo shoot!
During the final day of the week, we'll retell the week’s theme through dance, gesture, and music, and the students’ crafts will be exhibited for the audience to enjoy.
Students may enroll in both Fairytale Dance Adventure weeks. "Nutcracker" lessons may be repeated each week, but the repetition is beneficial.
