Be part of a music video! We will learn choreography and develop skills needed to make the performance amazing! We'll learn a variety of styles of choreography, work on dance conditioning, and make some lasting friendships along the way.
Each day we will warm up and hone in on a few technical skills before diving into choreography that will feed your inner pop star. Fun lessons will develop the following skills:
By the end of the session, filming will be complete, and we will plan a red carpet event so we can share the video with families. The red carpet event date to be announced.
The program is designed for dancers with at least one year of formal training, but beginners are welcome to join. Please contact jessica@hopartscenter.org with any questions about the program.
Please note: Filming will take place at various sites around 34 Hayden Rowe including outdoor space. Please reach out to info@hopartscenter.org with any questions or concerns.
Although it is not required, we recommend “Lights, Camera, Dance!” students enrich their dance experience by also enrolling in the morning session, “Summer Dance Workshop.” The technique developed in the Workshop may improve the dancers ability to retain and execute choreography. Head shot and stage hair and makeup lessons are also included in the “Theme Park Dance Star” workshop. It’s beneficial to repeat the lessons. Students are welcome to sign up for both workshops.
