Young visual artists are invited to participate in our full-day program exploring a wide range of art mediums connected to a weekly theme. Campers will explore everything from drawing and pen and ink to watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media while building foundational art skills and creating original projects. The week will culminate in a student art show on Friday before pickup.   

Week 2: Patterns & Prints
Discover how patterns, shapes and textures come together to make art both beautiful and full of surprises! We will experiment with collage, mosaic, and printmaking techniques—breaking apart, rebuilding, and transforming materials as we create unique pieces inspired by the HCA's summer gallery exhibit. Using a mix of recycled, natural and traditional art supplies, we'll create both abstract and representational art. 

Grades: 3–6
Week 3: July 13–17
Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
