Young visual artists are invited to participate in our full-day program exploring a wide range of art mediums connected to a weekly theme. Campers will explore everything from drawing and pen and ink to watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media while building foundational art skills and creating original projects. The week will culminate in a student art show on Friday before pickup.  

Week 1: Art Heist!
Step into the intriguing world of art mysteries! In this exciting week of creativity and discovery, you'll explore famous stolen artworks and create your own masterpieces inspired by these works using a variety of materials and techniques.

Each afternoon, we'll take on the role of art detectives, working together to solve clues, decode symbols, and uncover hidden secrets. Along the way, we'll learn about art history, observation, and problem-solving in a fun, hands-on environment.

The week concludes with a collaborative escape room-style challenge that ties together your art and investigative skills!

Grades: 3–6
Week 1: June 30–July 3 (Mon–Thurs)

Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
