Join us for the unique HCA experience—a week of creative programming spanning all of our departments —visual arts, drama, movement, music, and games! Each week will be based around a fun theme. Our week concludes with an art show and final performance before pickup on Friday. 

Take a journey into the wild in our Summer Safari week! 

In the art room, we'll explore animals and their habitats—from the African savannah to the Galápagos and U.S. National Parks—using Model Magic, tissue paper, watercolor, and more to create both 2D and 3D wildlife art.

Our theater explorations will take us on a journey to the Pride Lands with Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, and friends as we learn scenes and songs from The Lion King. Through singing, acting, and movement, campers will build stage skills and prepare a fun show to perform on Friday afternoon.

Grades: 1–6 (students will be split up and placed in groups based on age)
Week 6: August 3–7
Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
