Join us for the unique HCA experience—a week of creative programming spanning all of our departments —visual arts, drama, movement, music, and games! Each week will be based around a fun theme. Our week concludes with an art show and final performance before pickup on Friday. 

Our Magic & Science week showcases how art, science, and magic come together!

Create unique pieces inspired by the natural world—both here on Earth and in outer space. Through outdoor adventures and hands-on observation, students will investigate textures, patterns, and light. We'll experiment with how the sun can be used to create designs, explore materials that mimic what we see in nature, and discover how the creative process is closely connected to scientific curiosity.  

In the theater portion of camp, students will step into the fantastical and magical world of Encanto. Through playful drama games and imagination-driven activities, they'll learn the basics of acting, bring iconic scenes and songs to life, and explore what makes each member of the Madrigal family extraordinary. Along the way, students will build a deeper appreciation for how creativity—in art, science, and performance—can spark a little magic in all of us.

Grades: 1–6 (students will be split up and placed in groups based on age)
Week 1: June 30–July 3 (Mon–Thurs)
Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
