Join us for the unique HCA experience—a week of creative programming spanning all of our departments —visual arts, drama, movement, music, and games! Each week will be based around a fun theme. Our week concludes with an art show and final performance before pickup on Friday. 

Let your imagination run wild our Fantasy Worlds week! 

Each morning, we'll explore the exciting world of How to Train Your Dragon: The Musical. Through games, improv, and scene work, campers will portray characters like Hiccup and Astrid, and discover how to bring Toothless—a voiceless dragon!—alive through movement and expression. On Friday we'll share a fun performance that celebrates our fantasy-filled week. 

In the art studio, campers will turn their wildest ideas into original artwork, building on foundational concepts such as proportion, composition, and perspective. Using different media—from acrylic and watercolor to pen and ink—we'll transform our ideas into unique creations inspired by surrealist artists like Salvador Dalí and playful stories like Lilo & Stitch. Anything you dream up—flying hamburgers, football-playing cats, or powerful demigods—can be brought to life!

Grades: 1 and 2 only
Week 7: August 10–14
Location: 98 Hayden Rowe Street
Program Time: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Drop-off: Between 8:45–9 a.m.
Pick-up: Between 3–3:15 p.m. 
Late Pickups: Incur a fee of $10 for the first 15 minutes and $5 a minute after that.
Materials: All materials will be provided, but each participant should bring: 

• 2 snack(s) (no nuts please) 
• Lunch (no nuts please)
• A reusable water bottle with your child's name on it
• Sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray) and bug spray (optional)
• Wear clothes that are comfortable and washable

• Injury Waiver: You must agree to the HCA injury waiver to register for classes. 
• Photo Release Agreement: You can agree to the HCA's Photo Release Agreement during registration.

Scholarships: The HCA believes the arts are for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of the Dora Kishibay Garabedian Scholarship Fund and individual donations to our scholarship fund, we can assist children, teens, and adults who might not otherwise be able to afford classes.
