Whether you are an absolute beginner or looking to advance your skill set, this small group production-based class provides actors with the opportunity to get individualized instruction and perform on stage! Through helpful theater exercises and games, we'll focus on the heartwarming, tragic, and hilarious play, Steel Magnolias. 

With direction from trained actor Brittany Forsmo, you will have the weekly chance to bring the story to life through building upon your acting skills with character analysis and formation, lessons in blocking and space to optimally convey character perspectives and the narrative, and opportunities to collaborate with peers. 

We'll have our final performance and post-show gathering on Friday, May 8 at 7:30 for our families and friends.

Instructor: Brittany Forsmo
Brittany is an Emerson Alumna whose roots start at the beginning of the marathon- Hopkinton, MA. Growing up in HCA productions, Brittany has stayed true to the New England area by engaging in summer stocks in New Hampshire and new works around Boston.
